Tyrbo Get early access

A voxel game maker for blocky 3D worlds you can play on your phone

Voxel art builds everything from small cubes: the hills, the houses, the hero and the sheep. Tyrbo is an AI voxel game maker that turns a description into a game with a warm limited palette, crisp block shadows and a UI cut in the same chunky shapes. It plans the game with you, generates the voxel models it lacks, and gets it running on your phone.

What makes a voxel game look right

Voxels are pixels with depth, and the same discipline applies. Pick a cube size and keep it: a character built from big blocks next to a tree made of tiny ones looks like two games glued together. Keep the palette warm and limited, so a grassy block, a dirt block and a stone block read as different materials from color alone. Let the sun cast hard shadows; on a phone, those block shadows are what give the scene its depth.

A few phone-specific choices help:

  • Blocky proportions with big heads and hands, so characters read at thumbnail size.
  • A camera far enough back to see threats coming, close enough to see faces.
  • Buttons and panels with square, stepped corners that match the world.

Voxel genres: builders, farms, runners and arenas

The cube suits games about building and gathering, and that shows in the gallery. Voxel pictures cover town builders, farming, idle and tycoon games, tower defense, top-down adventures, survivors, racing, endless runners and party arenas.

Some pairings work especially well:

  • A town builder where each house is a stack of colored blocks you can read at a glance.
  • An idle mine where carts of voxel ore climb a shaft while the counters climb with them.
  • A survivors arena where a blocky hero holds off a tide of cube monsters.
  • A lane runner with block obstacles that are easy to judge at speed.

How the voxel game generator builds the look end to end

Consistency is the hard part of voxel art, so Tyrbo treats the look as one decision that runs through the game. It starts from the voxel direction, or your variation of it (snowy blocks, a candy palette, a desert of sandstone). Then it designs the game's own skin: a blocky font, a palette, frames and buttons. It reaches for curated 3D kits where they fit, and generates the rest as voxel models at the same cube size, which it then rigs and animates so your characters walk, dig and swing.

Under the look, the game uses tested parts: a world grid for building, movement, a HUD, currency counters, level progress. Physics joins when objects need weight. Whatever the library lacks, the AI writes as code your game owns.

Make a blocky 3D game without coding

Describe it, and Tyrbo replies with a few questions, most of which already have the right answer picked. Then you read the plan: the title, a short pitch, each part of the game, and voxel concept art. If the sheep should be pink or the island should be bigger, say so before a single block is placed.

Once it is built, scan the code and the game opens on your phone. Keep talking to change it. You can also ask for test tools inside your game, such as a button to spawn a wave or a slider for crop growth speed. When it is ready, it has been checked for soft-locks and low-end Android, with ads, purchases and leaderboards in place and a signed Android build in your hands.

voxel game ideas to type

  • A voxel town builder on a snowy island where every house needs firewood before nightfall
  • A blocky idle mine with voxel dwarves, rail carts and a lava level at the bottom
  • A voxel survivors game, a chicken farmer defending the coop from waves of cube foxes
  • A voxel lane runner through a sandstone canyon, jumping minecarts and ducking under bridges

From a sentence to your phone

  1. 1

    Describe it

One sentence is enough. Say what you tap, what you dodge, what you win.

  2. 2

    Answer a few questions

Each comes with our best guess picked, so most of the time you just tap Continue.

  3. 3

    See the plan

A title, a pitch, every part of the game, and concept art, before anything is built.

  4. 4

    Play it today

Scan the code and it runs on your phone. Change it by talking to it.

Built to ship, not just to prototype

Every game leaves the pipeline with all of this checked, not hoped for.

  • No soft-locks
  • Runs on low-end Android
  • Ads and purchases wired
  • Leaderboards live
  • A signed build you own

Questions people ask

Can AI make voxel models for my game?

Yes. Tyrbo generates voxel models for whatever its curated kits do not cover, keeping the cube size and palette consistent, and it rigs and animates characters so they move like the rest of the cast.

Is a voxel game the same as a block-building sandbox?

Not necessarily. Voxel is a look, not a genre. Tyrbo builds voxel games in the genres it knows well: town builders, farms, idle games, tower defense, survivors, racing, runners, adventures and party arenas. An open-ended sandbox is not one of the genres it promises today.

Can I put a voxel game on Google Play?

Yes. Android is the first store Tyrbo supports. Each game comes with a signed Android build and a step-by-step Google Play checklist, and you hold full ownership and commercial rights to the game and its blocky cast.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Tyrbo runs in your browser, and the game you make runs on your phone. Access is through a waitlist for now, with makers let in a few at a time, and building runs on paid plans with monthly credits.
