Make a match-3 game with AI, from the board up
Tyrbo is an AI match-3 maker. Tell it what the tiles are and what each level asks of the player, and it plans the board, the special pieces and the level path with you, then builds a puzzle game that runs on your phone. From there you keep shaping it by talking to it until the levels feel right.

Board generation decides whether a match-3 feels fair
The first thing that breaks a match-3 is the board itself. A fresh board should never open with a match already made, should always offer at least one legal swap, and should reshuffle when moves run dry instead of leaving the player stuck. Refills matter just as much: drop tiles purely at random and play swings between droughts and lucky chains.
Tyrbo starts from its match-3 starter on a tested grid board, so swapping, matching, gravity and refills already work before your theme goes on top. What you decide is the shape: how many columns and rows, how many tile colors (fewer colors means more cascades), and whether blockers such as ice, crates or vines sit in the grid from the start.
Cascades, special tiles and boosters
Cascades are where a match-3 feels generous. A match clears, new tiles fall into fresh matches, and the player gets a reward they never planned. Special tiles build on that moment:
- a line of four makes a piece that clears a row or column
- an L or T shape makes a small blast
- five in a row makes a piece that wipes every tile of one color
Boosters live outside the board: a hammer for one stubborn tile, a shuffle, five extra moves. Ask for the set you want, and the AI match-3 generator writes any special tile the starter lacks as code that belongs to your game. Then choose which boosters are earned and which are sold, since the game leaves the pipeline wired for ads and purchases.
Level goals and the difficulty curve
A match-3 lives on its levels, not on one board. Each level needs a goal (reach a score, clear the jelly, collect forty leaves, drop an item to the bottom row) and a move limit that makes it tense without feeling rigged. Good level paths mix goals, follow a hard level with an easy win, and bring in a new blocker every few stages.
Tyrbo plans the first stretch of levels with you as part of the game plan and strings them along a level map that remembers where the player got to. For tuning, ask for a balancing panel inside the game: sliders for move limits, color count and drop odds, and a button that jumps straight to level 30. You try each change on your phone instead of guessing.
Make a match-3 game without coding, in your own look
In this genre the tiles are the art. Gems, fruit, flowers, sweets or runes: whatever you describe, Tyrbo gives the board its own skin, from the tile set to the fonts, frames and buttons around it. It draws on curated asset packs and generates what is missing, in a look such as cute, pixel art or a soft pastel garden.
You never open a code editor. Before release, the pipeline checks what a puzzle game cannot get wrong: no level that dead-ends with zero legal moves, smooth play on a cheap Android phone, working leaderboards. For a longer walk-through, read how to make a match-3 game with AI.
Start a match-3 game with one sentence
- A match-3 on a coral reef where you swap shells and pearls to rescue trapped sea turtles
- Swap glowing runes in a wizard library and clear the dust tiles before your moves run out
- A cozy bakery match-3 where every level fills a customer order of cakes and buns
- Candy gems at a night market, with lanterns that clear a whole row when you match five
From a sentence to your phone
- 1
Describe it
One sentence is enough. Say what you tap, what you dodge, what you win.
- 2
Answer a few questions
Each comes with our best guess picked, so most of the time you just tap Continue.
- 3
See the plan
A title, a pitch, every part of the game, and concept art, before anything is built.
- 4
Play it today
Scan the code and it runs on your phone. Change it by talking to it.
Built to ship, not just to prototype
Every game leaves the pipeline with all of this checked, not hoped for.
- No soft-locks
- Runs on low-end Android
- Ads and purchases wired
- Leaderboards live
- A signed build you own
Questions people ask
Can I make a match-3 game without coding?
Yes. You describe the tiles, the goals and the mood in plain sentences, confirm a handful of choices it has pre-filled, and Tyrbo builds the game. Later changes work the same way: you ask for them. The code is real and yours, but you never have to read it.
Does it design the levels too?
It plans an opening run of levels with you, each with a goal and a move limit, and lays them along a level map. Ask for more levels, harder ones or a new blocker whenever you like, and use the in-game tools to jump to any stage and test it.
Can I add boosters and in-app purchases?
Yes. Boosters like a hammer, a shuffle or extra moves can be earned, bought or both. Store products and rewarded ads come connected in every build, so the open question is your design: what you sell, what you hand out, and how often.
Can I publish my match-3 game on Google Play?
Android is the first store. You get a signed Android build that you own and a step-by-step checklist for the Google Play listing. The guide on publishing a game on Google Play walks the whole route.
